Early Walnut Farmhouse Table with Two Drawers
Ref: 4179
A terrific and characterful early table hewn from hardwoods.
Smart neo-classical leg and a thick heavy walnut top. Almost 6ft long and almost 3ft wide with ample knee clearance, so a great size and the structure is sound. It was never painted and indeed appears in all it's many years never to have been through a workshop or restorers hands so has an appealing dry and authentic raw look.
It could easily be given a gentle clean and wax and polish and would come up a rich dark colour with plenty of patination and sit well in any upmarket gallery of oak and country furniture. This style of leg was found across Europe but we think this is probably French or Spanish.
