An early looking trestle table, quite medieval in appearance, the stands are oak and 18th century, the stretcher a later replacement, both are painted in antique black. Most dramatic is the top, made of one piece of hardwood, and with a very primitive look - almost like a stone slab from the top of a sarcophagus. Unwaxed here but may look better waxed.
