A rare long sequence of icons (6 in all) with individuals scenes & feast days from the life of Christ including the Last Supper, the Resurrection, & the Dormition of the Virgin. Done by a local master in the primitive Italian style of the Trecento and Quattrocento. On pine board with gold framing. This would have formed part of reredos (behind the High Altar) or else have been part of the iconostasis screen separating nave from altar in an Orthodox Romanian Church.
