A large and impressive globe-shaped terracotta pithoi well made Armenian with thick walls and collar, lot of wear and patina, many of these were used for wine. The rounder form usually signifies greater age and this could be much older than stated, suitable for indoor or semi-indoor use in vestibule, gallery, terrace or orangerie or for shop display. Metal stand also available.
