A rare extra large amphora of elegant form in original green white paint and with appealingly blackened exterior, small marks in arabic suggest this pot may have been part of an ship-bound export cargo to other parts of the Mediterranean. Pots of this form were made in this region of the North African coast even in ancient times. It stands well.
