Folk Painting on Glass of Cormorant
Ref: 3532
A decorative and colourful reverse painting on glass depicting a web footed bird probably of the cormorant family - in some countries in the East peasants have traditionally fished with cormorants and in folk lore generally the cormorant is a positive symbol - unlike in the Western Christian tradition in which (as in Paradise Lost) the cormorant is associated with appetite and death.
