Superb Original Blue Painted Mug and Spice Rack
Ref: 3157
Pine racks like these were really efficient pieces of furniture combining several roles but without much expense of materials.
They hung mugs and plates, had a shelf and drawers for plates, spices, pots, cutlery and nowadays even keys and were for display too.
This particular example ticks all the boxes - when buying these you look for a good size (not too big or small), does it have a handy shelf and drawers... and are they all there but also crucially does it have all the original hooks? Most have no hooks but instead bent nails, or at best only some of the nice old hooks and you can't find these in hardware stores I'm afraid! This one has all the original hooks is great condition and then best of all has a lovely old blue colour.
