St Barbara Folk Painting on Glass
Ref: 4902
A reverse painted naive depiction of St Barbara, with chalice, in combed and painted pine frame. Paintings like this were produced by untrained peasant artists for sale at markets and brightened the homes of the Romanian country people. They are probably the most unreligious religious art you can imagine.
