Rare Peasant Table with Carving

A rare example of a peasant table from Transylvania, a slab top in beechwood and carving of compass circles and other symbolic devise on all four sides of the table base and legs. Original red paint or stain and a single heavy drawer. Many traditions and magical associations surround such tables in Romanian folklore.
