Rare Elm Carved Side Table in Original Paint
Ref: 5329
People are always on the look out for side tables, consoles, especially if they’ve got four drawers, good height and are of average depth, this one has more being a rare example of oriental country furniture, made of elm, and coming from Mongolia, there is quite elaborate carving of stylised tigers (?) to the sides, and in the original paint. The drawers fully restored for use but unlike a lot of Chinese origin antiques you see it’s overly restored. This one came out about 20 yrs ago when China and Mongolia first opened up to Western trade, you can even see the old staple repairs to the drawers fronts.
