Marvellous Hand-Made Saxon Shepherd’s Sheepskin Coat

A rare and museum worthy find, a full length and good condition shepherd’s Sunday best sheepskin coat with superb applied leather work and embroidery. Some minor nicks.
The piece has the initials of the wearer and the date 1884. A coat like this was done to cost the equivalent of a year’s wages to have made.
