Joyous Folk Painted Pine Panel or Bunk-Bed
Ref: 5113
A colourful and florally profuse painted piece with 10 inset decorative panels, painted borders, split baluster
mouldings, painted tassels and finials. This could be a wall art piece, a marvellous example of European folk painting, or it could be in addition what it actually is which is a bunk-bed. It was made in 1947 as the date says and would have formed part of a marriage suite, presented as dowry, and lived in the ‘clean room’ of the newly wedded couple’s house.
