Folk Painted Marriage Box from Fancy Country

A vibrantly decorated marriage chest from Transylvania, Hungarian ethnic tribes live to this day in the villages where this chest came from and where furniture was made like this even up until the 1950s. Very clean and tidy to the interior. Paint nicely aged. Blue overpaint to sides and carrying handles.
