Ref: 4674
In Eastern and Central Europe there is or was a 'Betlem' folk tradition, model churches are made and paraded through the village at Christmas time, accompanied by figures clothed in traditional mummers’ costumes who perform plays and sing carols. This is a particularly interesting one, a rather fantastic Gaudi-like church with various coloured glass windows that would have been lit by candlelight. A folk art rarity.
