A rare folk art nativity or as called “Betlem” these formed part of traditional village Christmas celebration in countries like Bohemia, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania (Transylvania), made with coloured glass to be lit from within they would be paraded around the village with carols. Eastern Transylvania, c.1920.
