A very good example of folk art painted pine marriage chest or coffer from Austria, appealing powder blue ground colour with garlands of roses on cream painted panels to front. Decorative painted panels to sides, original bun feet, top is nicely worn and aged from use as seat, interior with candlebox, very clean and solid. Dates to early 19th century.
