Tulips were of such cultural significance in the Ottoman Empire but also grew wild in the rocky hills and coastline where the peasants lived and it is no surprise to see them decorate their marriage boxes with them. This of mountain cedar pine. Nice and clean to interior. Cute size. Circa late 19th cent.
