A decorative glazed corner stove tile from Central Transylvania, the tulip indicates this is of Hungarian ethnic origin and the stylised form of the flower is just like those that appear on boxes and benches from the region at around this time, in each corner are the tile are rosettes or compass circles, also devies associated with good fortune and averting ill.
