Dyer's Wooden Dug Out

An antique or vintage adze hewn wooden bowl. These items were multi-purpose and were used for gathering fruits like grapes, for dough, for salting - this one appears to have been used for red dye - perhaps by a weaver who is dying cloth or thread. They have painted the base white.
