Characterful Antique Peasant Dresser in Warm Black
Ref: 3547
A unique antique pine dresser from Eastern Europe, early looking features and unusual features from the zig zag moulding around the glazed section to the arched windows and fielded panelling on the lower sections. Much of this suggests an 18th century date for manufacture or a hangover of early styles.
The little scrolling "arms" on carved supports to either side of the counter top are a most charming and again unusual ornamental feature. If it could speak this piece of very old peasant furniture from the far off lands heading into Bessarabia could no doubt tell many a tale.
