Antique Shepherd’s Carved Coffer

A traditional shepherd’s coffer or ark, made in the old style, from hewn boards, then decorated with geometric symbols.
Pieces like this had been made in the same way for centuries their origins lost in the mists of Time. It’s a clean example, Neat size. Nicely polished. Dates to probably end of 19th century.
