A superb condition marriage cupboard in the neo-classical style, dated to ‘1829’, two doors with all original ironwork, lock and hinges with four painted panels showing Greek urn & flowers, & with floral decoration to sides, on a warm umber ground, all original shelving and jewellery drawer to interior. Stands on bun feet. These pieces were made on commission in workshops of professional joiners and painters. Rare to find one in such good original condition as this.
