A very good antique pine marriage chest with alpine scenes of a town or village and flowers to central panel, in decorative brown grain painting with blue and pink detailing, the date ‘1837’ confirms this was a marriage piece. Stands on bold shapely decorative feet.
From Central Europe probably Austria/Southern Germany.
