Antique Carved Yoke Hanging Peg-Rack
Ref: 5873
Lovely patina to this hardwood hanging peg rack, it has intriguing carving including a decorative Christian cross to the centre, it’s probably originally an oxen yoke and could be a peasant piece from the Southern Mediterranean, Portugal, Corsica, & so on. It could even be Indian, from Goa, for example. It’s not just a decorative piece of folk art as someone has applied large and useful pegs to it. It hangs from two hooks at rear, so ready to install.
