A very accomplished hand-painted tavern sign on metal “The Manor House” - pub signage in the days when they were hand-made not printed as now were usually undertaken by professional sign painters but also by fine artists who were looking for some side-work. This could be one of the latter by the evidence of the pictorial quality.
