"The Lady in Red" Irish Primitive

A large atmospheric oil on canvas, by a provincial Irish painter, a lady in red velvet dress, lacework chemise, & with lustrous dark hair, rather like some Irish country furniture one has had in the past the canvas is sooty, smoked, & a clean could be undertaken, the proportions suggest it is 18th century, but could be early 19th, it is re-lined onto raw hessian, & the name of an artist & “Co.Waterford” to the verso.
