Ref: 6130
One branch of pre-photography popular art was 'house portraits’, and this must be an example of one, done either by an itinerant artist specialising in this kind of thing or by the householder or a local amateur, the house is charmingly clumsy in it’s perspective, Giotto-esque, it’s done on canvas in good condition and is in a very smart oak frame.
