Furniture » Antique Jeweller’s Gold Drawing Bench In Original Condition
Ref: 5330
Sometimes I hesitate lest we use the word too often but this is unquestionably a ‘rare’ piece, one for the history of english trades and a vernacular furniture museum, a table or bench with leather strap and winding mechanism used to draw out precious metals especially gold. Made of painted pine with oak for the winding wheel, and hardwoods for spool of the belt. The width of the top surface is 31cm and the height of it 84cm, making it suitable as an original decorative console or bold feature piece in home, hotel or public space.
