An exceptional and larger than normal Irish pine dresser in original condition, what you see here is typical of folk art Irish dressers, the ornament and style of English Georgian furniture is borrowed and amplified and applied with wit and over-boldness, the top heavy cornice is remarkable, a borrowing from colonial architecture in an effort to create maximum theatrical effect, a kind of subversion. Comes in two pieces.
Fully restored but retaining as found paint finish.
