Ref: 4737
Exemplary English craftsmanship in evidence in this set of 4 carved oak chairs coming from a chapel near Leicester. Labels to the underside of the chairs indicate these came from Leicester around the turn of the century, a city that was at the centre of a flowering of arts and craft furniture-making in the later 19th and early 20th century with the name of Gimson looming large. Quality pieces and in exceptional condition. They came with the table that is our next listing.
