A very good example of a smaller sized sarcophagus chest, traditional web and net carved designs express ancient traditions of the evil eye, these trunks held personal items and such could be used by ill spirits, hair, lockets, examples of personal handwriting, the very soul of the owner, and these needed protection via magical designs. Lovely condition with dry unwaxed sage original colour.
