Early Small Shepherd’s Coffer with Traditional Carving

An early re-assuringly heavy beechwood carved coffer - on all of these boxes the carving is traditional and associated with protective magic, on this one for example the web or mesh design to the front acts like a net to capture or deter malicious intent, it is what we often refer to as the ‘evil eye’.
