A type of peasant marriage chest or box that was produced in the valleys of the Upper Rhine near to the spa town of Wiesbaden with three panels and religious inscription in old German, normally dark blue and yellow or red (see ref 6587) this one is in unusual green ground colour. Lovely original condition. Clean throughout.
