A long very good and clean condition antique box bench in it’s as found cream white and brown (not grey) paint, this colour combination and the fleur-de-lys (three petal) motif were typical of the neoclassical style favoured in Austria, Germany & Scandinavia in the 19th century. Great alongside a big farmhouse table or in a hallway to keep boots etc.
