It’s hard to find proper antique box benches of this kind under 170cm so this is a rarity - it’s actually a larger one that at some point was cut down in size.
It was later painted over and we’ve dry scraped it back to it’s decorative original blue paint with red flowers. It was originally a marriage bench from the Hungarians of Central Transylvania who painted in this style. There is a box lid to left side opening up an interior compartment for boots and other paraphernalia.
Very solid and sturdy needless to say.
