Lovely wear, patina and original condition to this rustic country bench from the hilly and mountainous region of Bukovina in Eastern Romania.

Pine with hardwood uprights it has a nice scrubbed pine seat and original green paint. The seat lifts to useful storage. If you are wondering how it is a bed bench too then the front pulls forward like a drawer making a sleeping compartment hence the two extra leg supports.

These were practical pieces of furniture that did several jobs, sitting, storage and guest bed!
