Antique Marriage Box Bench with Red Flowers on White Ground

A folk painted long box settle or box bench, done in traditional style, from the Kaloteszeg, the Hungarian Calvinist villages, east of Cluj, or Koloszvar. Given at the time of a marriage it would have lived in the clean room hence the very good state of preservation. Double box lid, lots of storage, nicely skinny so good for hall or alongside a table.
