A bench or settle from the early 20th century when makers and designers went back to earlier simple and medieval forms that were functional and with pleasing simplicity - this piece would be ideal alongside a country diner it has a seat height of 48.5cm and with no arms makes for easy access, it’s robust and solid. It would also make a great hall bench since it’s shallow front to back and with space below the seat for boots and shoes. It’s in as found bright green paint but could be painted on commission.
