Rare Primitive Hutch Cupboard

A mixed hardwood and rare furniture piece from the highlands of the Carpathian range in Romania, often called a hutch cupboard, the style is medieval not so say ancient. The horizontal members at front are structural and decorative but may also have functioned to hang spoons, utensils and cheese bags since cheese making was a normal occupation of the highland shepherds. Clean throughout and gallery condition. Main body is 80cm wide.
