Primitive Shepherd’s Cupboard with Carving
Ref: 5202
The Vlach shepherd’s had lived for centuries in the wild hills of Transylvania and their furniture retained it’s traditional forms, arcs or boxes and these cupboards, almost like tables with their large overhanging tops, constructed in early style and decorated with geometric carving intended to protect the owner from the ‘evil eye’.
An authentic example of old European peasant art and a useful side table for anywhere in the house. In original green paint.
