You'll do well to find another Bohemian pine marriage cupboard with such interesting folk painted panels as this. The top one shows a bird probably a cuckoo, this was an auspicious bird in Central European folklore, a harbinger of Spring and emblem of fertility. The lower panel probably describes a particular place with hill and buildings. The panels are surrounded by bold grain painting in striped patterns. Overall very good condition. The interior is empty and can have either shelves or rail or a combination of both.
