Carved Primitive Two-Door Larder or Cupboard
Ref: 4864
A primitive two-door larder or storage cupboard, of early type and construction, the two doors are two hewn boards with inscribed & chip-carved abstract geometric or floral decoration, shelved within, this piece would have sat on an earthen floor. It’s nicely shallow, and sits back snugly to the wall, so suitable as larder cupboard in kitchen or for tins & pots in a studio or work-space. This piece was imported to the UK prior to the region where it came from being occupied by the Taliban some 20 yrs ago & so could be regarded as a rare piece.
