Antique Shepherd’s Hutch Cupboard in Original Blue
Ref: 7101
A very nice example of a Romanian folk furniture classic.
These were a traditional item of furniture found in the highlands of the Carpathians, made artfully in the old manner from hewn boards harvested from the ancient beechwoods, typically with apotropaic or magical geometric ‘evil eye’ carving to the doors, many folk traditions surrounded such pieces and you can see an example very much like this in the Museum of the Peasant in Bucharest. Shelf to interior. Useful as lamp or side table or bedside, a cupboard/table if you like.
