A primitive & decorative carved wooden and green painted panel, the star represents the 5 pillars of Islam & is flanked by a pair of crescent moons, this panel would have been in the centre of the ceiling, a symbol of divine & cosmic order, it is a rare example of folk art rescued for posterity & such as one imagines might have been found in a very small ruined village mosque in a mountain village long since abandoned.
