A neatly simplified sculpture of a crocodile from Cameroon, carved and painted. Traditional rather than tourist art and early 20th century.
Came from private collection. Hardwood. Traces of feathers on this piece when found re-inforced the suggestion that this was used for ritual or kitchen purposes.
