Ref: 3143
A small 19th century painted pine stand from peasant cottage with attractive carving and old blue paint. This possibly a stand for a watch. The peasants could not afford mantle or wall clocks popular in the towns at the time and often so a case, wall box or stand to house a fob watch was the next best thing.
Eastern/Central Europe 19th cent.
