The Greyhound Original Painted Pub Sign
Ref: 2479
Local sign painters employed by taverns and shopkeepers often made the best folk artists, the job in hand requiring something bold, unfussy and appealing and this is a good example, a terrific really fresh rendering of a greyhound, paint on wood, nicely worn, a vintage pub sign double sided, and mounted in metal frame with hooks. Given the fresh summery colours it's not surprising to find this coming from East Suffolk.
