Rare Cornish Painted Pine Grandfather Clock
Ref: 1984
A rare piece, a grandfather clock but pine rather than oak or mahogany, the backboards are oak actually for obvious reasons of stability, the rest the front and sides with ogee shaped door, and the hood with smart moulded cornice is pine and painted. The paint has crackled - not fake, just original condition. The painted dial is in charming country style too. A piece that has broken off the end of one of the hands we have.
It is in fact remarkably intact. The movement is unrestored but we can pass on to a local specialist restorer. Price as is and very good.
