An antique oil painting in primitive style with Scottish folk tale theme, not Tam O′Shanter but perhaps some legendary figure whom further research could identify. The impressive looking rider with red beard, traditional bonnet and tartan cloak takes a drink from the spring and flirts with a local girl who does not seem to mind.
Original and good condition frame. Painted on board.
