Georgian Painted Pine Dresser in Old White Paint
Ref: 1792
A terrific and rare English country pine dresser found in its original and historic paint, found in the North of England. It is two piece, rack and base, the base having three central drawers flanked by cupboards with fielded panels to the doors. Also panelled to the sides. Wide backboards. This piece was painted from the 18th century in layers of old cream and off white paint and it has been scraped back to remove the more recent layers. The Georgian moulded frieze is of especial note, the rack tapers down the base slightly and appears not to have had a cornice moulding.
